| Hey guys long time no post huh ?? yeah its been awhile but ya know nothing really that great has happened...but i did write this really kick ass essay ...well i thought it was kick ass cause i acutally did it by myself and it somewhat makes sense haha...so here it is....
The struggle for defintion is veritably the struggle for always having or needing to be defined. For some reason being defined is such a big thing. If someone were to say that one is weird or dressed weird then that is exactly their defintion, just because of one's opinion or expression on someone else they define that person of who they are or how they are, without every really getting to know them. In Szasz's writing , " In a family, husband and wife, mother and child do not get along; the one who first seizes the word imposes reality on the other; the one who defines then dominates and lives and the other is subjugated and may be killed." In today's society whoever is so called popular or more in control than others expresses their opinion on someone then defines them of who they are. But then on second note, who are we to define them popular or so called "more in control than others" ? So as we find ourselves being defined, are we also defining others? The struggle of defintion is veritably the struggle for always needing to be defined. Is this one of those on going cycles of life? - Valerie Dodson

| not alot happened today...just went to school, track practice, which is getting a lot better already..and then i got my hair done it looks good i got a lot of blonde put in it.....anndd took a long nap today it was amazing ..ya know thats bouut all ....more later VaL x0 |
